Our History

We Started in 2009

My Jal ( Water) was founded in 2009 and  is the creation of Maanav Karamchandani.

Lessons Learned

In 2009 we attempted to install a pump in a rural village in India. We discovered the ground water was contaminated with e. coli and were not able to set up a pump. We have learned many lessons since then and are continuing to grow as an organization.

Self Sustenance

A major goal of MyJal is to make sure each community we help is able to sustain their clean water without our constant help. As an organization we help set up micro-financing within each community and create a system where the members of each group have a set plan on how to take care of their new, clean water source.

We work with Partners

MyJal is not able to do this all on their own. We work with many partners locally and globally. Contact us if you are interested in working with us.
