COVID -19 impact is global. At MyJal, though, our focus is on clean water for the schools, but we cannot keep our eyes closed to COVID-19 impact.
More than 26 million people in the U.S. have filed for unemployment benefits in the past month, as the COVID-19 pandemic closes businesses and keeps people mostly inside. According to Feeding America, even before the coronavirus outbreak, 37 million people in the U.S. struggled to find enough food to eat. Now, food banks are running low on necessities and may not provide starving infants with food. Families who previously did not require support are growing in numbers. Through your donations to MyJal, we will be providing meals to families and children in the United States and India to help feed struggling communities.
MyJal has partnered with the Elixir Foundation in India to provide meals to struggling families.
The funds raised will be mainly for :
– Daily wage labourers.
– Old age homes
– Shelter homes.
We will be utilizing the funds for buying grocery materials and another basic necessities.
MyJal is working with UNICEF to protect the health of children and their parents and caregivers. With schools having closed in over 140 countries, affecting over one billion learners, UNICEF focused on finding ways to help children keep learning through online classes and radio broadcasts
