Kawara Project

Kavara Primary school is located in the Chhotaudepur district of Gujarat.

Problem

This primary school has very little access to water and the nearby water sources have dried up. The children and people of the town have faced many problems due to the lack of clean water in their area.

Children

This school provides an education to over 200 children, and MyJal will be focused on not only providing clean water to the school but also helping the village.

Solution

MyJal first identified a water source and  then laid a pipeline to bring that water to the village. Next, we will install a reverse osmosis unit and a cooling unit to provide the village with cold, filtered drinking water. Once MyJal has completed the installation of all these necessary pieces, we will work with the local village leaders to ensure the upkeep of the pump, pipeline, RO unit, and the water cooler.

Project Completion Date

We completed this project on December 25th, 2019!

Our Journey

The project took over 4 months, from finding a clean water source to laying the pipeline and ensuring a sustainable system.

After

Now the students and villagers have a nice space to drink clean water as well as meet communally

Everyone in the village community now has easy access to filtered water and the MyJal team is very proud of the positive impact we have made!
